What you can check once entries close
Not yet revealed The secret that generates the prize map is withheld until entries close.
This is the honest limitation, so it is worth being plain about it. Right now you cannot recompute your own prize, because doing so needs that secret. We are not withholding it out of caution: if it were public while the competition is open, anyone could work out how many prizes are left in the tickets still unsold and time their entries to suit. That would be unfair to everybody who entered earlier.
Once entries close, the secret is published here. At that point anyone — you, a journalist, an auditor — can regenerate the full map from secret ‖ randomness, check it against the fingerprint that was timestamped before the competition opened, and confirm every prize awarded was the prize that map says.
